About Encounter
Encounter is a spiritual growth ministry for the broken and hurting.
Our Mission
To help broken and hurting people overcome life’s adversities so they can discover the free devoted life to Jesus Christ by creating a discipleship path to a life of freedom and spiritual growth.
Our Vision
Build a community of people looking for hope, healing, and growth to have personal life changing “Encounters” with the Lord.
Encounter helps people study and pray the Word of God, get into the presence of God, hear the voice of God, and be transformed by the power of God.
Who is Encounter For?
People come to Encounter to heal.
We have all experienced physical, relational, emotional, and even spiritual hurts that need healing. Unfortunately, there are too many people living with unhealed hurts that negatively affect their lives.
Time never makes unhealed hurts go away, and when hurts resurface, it always come out in some form of compulsion, stronghold, character defect, a distorted view of the character and nature of God, and how deeply we are loved, and what our identity in Christ is. Encounter helps people overcome those adversities.
Many major in the minors by focusing on the symptoms of their lives. By applying the Anchors of Hope, the Holy Spirit will reveal and rip out every root issue in someone’s life and set them free.
People come to Encounter to grow.
Many come to Encounter because it is a deep discipleship ministry that helps them grow in their faith. When you combine studying the Word of God, hearing the voice of God, embracing the presence of God, and being strengthened by the Holy Spirit of God, you have a deep discipleship ministry.
People come to Encounter to go.
Many come to Encounter to find their calling, purpose, giftings, and assignments from the Lord.
When you hear the word "Recovery"...what do you think?
Definition: Re·cov·ery (verb) - return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength.
The truth is...every believer is in some form of recovery.
Our Core Vaules
God’s Word is our truth.
We know that spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ is essential to any lasting recovery and growth.
We believe that the power of the Holy Spirit and helping people get filled with the Holy Spirit is our source of strength and healing.
We know community with others is key. We get better together and we need to build healthy relationships that will help and not hinder our growth and recovery.
Many major in the minors by focusing on the symptoms of their lives. By applying the 12 Anchors of Hope, the Holy Spirit will reveal and rip out every root issue in someone’s life and set them free.
Jesus never compromised the following values; discipleship, recovery, grace, and truth. Encounter combines those four values as the pathway that Jesus modeled for hope, healing, and growth.
Encounter instills hope that can pull down strongholds and break the power of sin. Applying what is learned at Encounter can produce lasting change in a person’s behavior that can restore lives, families and communities. These positive and lasting results can only happen through an Encounter with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Encounter strongly believes that God is Who He says He is and we are who He says we are. We believe that we are not our sins, our habits, our defects, and what has been done to us. We embrace our true identity In Christ and reject the lies that have tried to steal our identity.
Encounter embraces authenticity and honesty that creates safe environments where it is ok not to be ok but not ok to stay there.
Encounter believes in the power and value of prayer. Encounter will teach someone how to pray more effectively. If you can pray more effectively, you can live more freely.
Encounter is truly a ministry that anyone and everyone should attend and be a part of.

Unresolved hurts can cause major emotional, spiritual, relational, social, and even physical damage to our lives. They lead to bad coping mechanisms, unhealthy character defects, and damaged relationships. Encounter helps people heal of unresolved hurts and brokenness that negatively affects their lives.
Encounter is not just a place for people who need healing. It is a place to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a place to learn and serve. It is a place to live the abundant life that Jesus Christ died for. It is a place to take our faith to new heights. It is a place of surrender and submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
