From the first day Encounter opened it’s doors more than a year ago, the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission has partnered with us. Encounter was tasked to provide leadership with their men’s House of Hope. The House of Hope is a 9 month residential program that teaches recovery, discipleship, service, community, work, and live out with humility the vision of the rescue mission which is to tangibly demonstrate God’s love to the Hungry, Homeless and Hurting of the greater Los Angeles area by offering Hope, Hot Meals, Housing, Health Services and Healing to those in need.
When someone graduates from the 9-month program it is a big deal. I have been attending some of these graduation services and they are inspiring and amazing.
This Friday the CEO and Founder of the Hope of The Valley Rescue Mission Ken Craft and his staff will be our special guests at Encounter. Ken is a former pastor and he will be sharing a special message with us in addition to leading the celebration of Robert who is graduating from the House of Hope.
Friday will be the first time that Ken and his staff will get to see what we do at Encounter. I hope as you are reading this you are making plans to attend. I want them to see ALL of us in full force at Encounter this Friday putting on a clinic of service and community.
I will of course be speaking with Ken and we have a great worship set planned as usual. We are going to have our meal provided by a special caterer so dinner is going to be fantastic. Please make sure you come early and have dinner with the staff and family of the men at the House of Hope and Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission. For more information about the rescue mission you can go to our website or visit http://www.hopeofthevalley.org/mission
It’s an all hands on deck type of night and I hope to see all of you there!
Be Blessed and Encouraged
