Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2
While we were packing and going through stuff preparing for our move to Kentucky, I was constantly reminded that God is still changing the way I think. God kept reminding me that I am still a work in progress. The more I allow Him to change my stinking way of thinking, the more He gives me a better perspective on things.
Everyone has a point of view and an opinion on things, but the only person whose opinion really matters is our Father in Heaven! Maturity is seeing things from our Father’s point of view. Our values change the more we allow His Word to take root in our lives as we live them out by His grace every day.
While I was packing and going through old papers I came across this devotion by an unknown author called “Values.” It helped me to refocus on what “Real Values” are:
Greatest Handicap—Fear
Best Day—Today
Most Useless Asset—Giving Up
Greatest Stumbling Block—Egotism
Most Desirable Asset—Gratitude
Most Disagreeable Person—Someone In Denial
Best Teacher—Pain and Suffering
What We Need The Most—The Truth
Best Example—Someone Who Walks His or Her Talk
Greatest Need—Humility
Meanest Feeling—Selfishness
Best Gift—Forgiveness
Greatest Moment—Death
Greatest Strength—Vulnerability
Greatest Secret--Prayer
Greatest Guide—The Holy Spirit
Greatest Knowledge—The Word of God
Greatest Love—Jesus’ Sacrifice
Greatest Joy—Salvation!
Greatest Moment of Clarity—God is the GREAT I AM and I am not!
I look forward to sending these devotions out to you and firing up some live stream teachings in the near future.
I’ll add one more:
Greatest Accomplishment—Making Friends Like You Along The Way On The Journey Of Doing God’s Will!
Be Blessed and Encouraged
