Change + Grace = Discipleship

When you look at the life of Jesus. What do you see?

Do you see just grace?
Do you see just mercy?
Do you see just truth?

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

When he declared that, he was stating four important facts:

1.    I am the way—that was a mercy statement made to those who have lost their way.

2.    I am the truth—that was a truth statement

3.    I am the life—that was a grace statement to give us a life here on earth and in heaven that we don’t deserve.

4.    No one comes to the father except through me—that was a truth statement.

Truth statements are instructional statements given to us for the sole purpose of salvation and discipleship.
They are non-negotiable accept or reject them statements of truth that have withstood the test of time through every season, culture, century, and society. Mercy and grace statements are invitational statements inviting us into the life of grace, mercy, and truth.

So which side of the fence are you on?
Are you one the grace side?
Are you on the mercy side?
Are you on the truth side?

To know grace is to know mercy. To know mercy is to know truth. To know truth is to know Jesus, grace, and mercy. Disciples and Kingdom representatives follow Jesus, his teachings, and live a life of grace, mercy, and truth. Where has grace landed you? How far are you willing to let grace take, mold and shape you?

I hope you will join us this Monday at Encounter as we dive deeper into Anchor 6 which is our discipleship anchor. I have a talk titled, Change + Grace = Discipleship.

Be Blessed and Encouraged
