Give Us Day By Day Our Daily Bread

Why is today the greatest day of your life? It is the day God has allowed you to live and give you the opportunity to have breathe, to have provision, to experience the greatness and glory of God. To experience his mercies and grace, power, forgiveness, blessings, peace, miracles, favor, and his presence. Each day is an opportunity to have a life changing encounter with the living God who has just what you need and then some just for today.

If you miss out on it today it is gone. You can’t retrieve it. You have to wait for tomorrow; but tomorrow is never promised to anyone. You miss enough today’s you will have no life.

Give us today day by day, our daily bread. Today if you need mercy, you can have it today. When is He rich in mercy? Today. Today is the only day he can do anything. It’s so simple yet we miss it.

When the Israelites were grumbling after God rescued them from the Egyptians God said I will provide for you day by day on a daily basis.

Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

Here is the catch. I’ll only give it to you today. I’ll provide for you today day by day. The bible tells us to number our days not years. Here is the one simple truth that most of us miss; even though he promises our daily needs and bread, we still have to pray it.
