I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making the Glory outreach event such a huge success! Encounter had a sea of people wearing their shirts, talking to people, and praying with so many. We had a ton of traffic at our booth. We had two amazing testimonies and the opportunity to tell people who we are and what we do. We gave away hundreds of brochures, bookmarks, magnets, and invites to our one time special event this Friday at NorthPark Community Church.
Thank you for serving and making this event great! Thank you for all the hard work you did to help get the word out. Thank you for working so hard on a hot summer day! The Glory outreach was a great team effort!
I mentioned to many of you that the Glory event and the NorthPark Community Church Encounter service this Friday are by far the two most important events for Encounter to date.
Having you all present and in position this past Friday is just as needed this coming Friday at NorthPark.
The best thing Encounter can do for newcomers checking us out is for all of us to be there to greet them and connect with them! We need to go out of our way and make our newcomers feel warm, loved, welcomed, safe, and connected. This Friday is all about our newcomers, and we need all of Encounter to show up in full force with open arms!
We have a ton of work to do this week and this Friday to make Encounter a night people will never forget. I will be teaching on Identity in Christ with a talk titled “The Born Identity.”
We are planning on having a great meal for dinner.
Those are just some of the many things we are planning for this Friday. We are going to need another massive team effort to pull this off. There are many ways that you can help. Here a few suggestions and serving needs we need you to sign up for:
• Arriving early so you can familiarize yourself with the building
• Help out the Cooking Team
• Be a greeter and welcome the newcomers
• Help the set up team
• Come early and pray with the prayer team
• Help the Encounter resource table
• Help the Encounter newcomers table and connect with the newcomers
Thank you for making Encounter awesome! Together we are making this life changing, chain-breaking ministry the best place to be on a Friday night! Let’s do it again this Friday!
