Who You Are in Christ

Encounter,

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

The phrase “you are,” stands out above anything in this scripture. God is emphatically declaring through His word “who” we are in Christ! We are chosen, holy, a special possession brought into his wonderful light that are recipients of his great mercy! And that is who we are!

God always calls you someone different than who you call yourself. God always has better thoughts than you could think about for yourself. God has a better plan than you could plan for yourself. God paints a better picture of who you are than you can paint for yourself. And it all starts with an understanding of “who you are in Christ”—what you’re new and true identity in Christ is.

I hope you will join us this Friday for a special talk called “The Born Identity.” We are going to talk about how the enemy steals our Identity; how we can get it back; and be the person the God calls us to be. It is going to be a very inspiring and uplifting night.

If you need encouragement then this Friday night is going to be perfect for you. Most people will spend an entire lifetime trying to become someone they already are. You can discover that identity this Friday at Encounter!
Many newcomers will be there for the first time so let’s make a great impression on every new person we meet. Welcome them, talk to them, and make them feel accepted and not alone. Help disarm their fears, insecurities and doubts because anyone walking in for the first time has them.

I know I can count on you to make our guests feel loved; like they have found a family that they can count on each and every week! Chick-fil-A will be catering our dinner! Yummy!

P.S. Please don’t forget that we are meeting at NorthPark Community Church this Friday for this special one time event. The address is 28310 Kellie Johnson Parkway in Valencia 91355

Be Blessed and Encouraged
