They are non-negotiable accept or reject them statements of truth that have withstood the test of time through every season, culture, century, and society. Mercy and grace statements are invitational statements inviting us into the life of grace, mercy, and truth.

Prayer Focus: Let’s devote ourselves to prayer today for the launch of Encounter. As the 21 day prayer challenge ends, let’s devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful, being joyful, praying continually, and always giving thanks. Let’s pray fervently for one another every day as the norm and not as a challenge.
Take captive sinful thoughts and make them obedient to Christ. And that is half the battle. But if we see only negative implications and not the positive possibilities, it becomes a half-truth. This verse is not just about capturing sinful thoughts and getting them out of our minds; it’s also about capturing creative thoughts based on truth and keeping them in our minds. It means stewarding every word, thought, impression, and revelation inspired by the Spirit of God.
Prayer Focus: As you pray today, choose to pray with joy and pray all day with all types of prayers for Encounter. Pray longs prayers, short prayers, popcorn (one line) prayers, silent prayers, verbal prayers, praise prayers, and prayers with the Holy Spirit. Pray prayers of thanks for the leadership and staff at COS. The entire staff is amazingly and wonderfully supportive, and praying for Encounter too.
